KENT FITNESS LEAGUE – Relay and presentation at Swanley            18th March 2007

 

Now we have come to the end of another hard fought cross country series, we have only the end of term social event still to come.  These are the details you need to know.

 

Date of Race Sunday 18th March 2007. Start Time 11.00 am

Parking See attached map – park either in the town centre or the upper car park at the park – if this is full then use the lower car park in New BarnLane.

 

Public Transport Swanley Station is approx 7 minutes walk from the park.

 

Changing/ Toilets Limited changing within the park with showers available after the race at the Alexander Suite in Swanley town centre.

 

Refreshments There will be a buffet provided at approx 1.00 pm in the Alexander Suite, which is an approx 5 minute walk from the park. If driving, there is plenty of parking available in the town centre. A licenced bar will be available. The presentation of League awards will be at approx 2.00pm.

 

Course details The relay route is one circuit of the main park as used in the league match – approximate length is 2 miles and is mostly on grass with some wooded sections. The start and finish are located within 100 yards of the clubhouse by the lake. Teams will comprise of 5 members (4 men + 1 lady), each doing the same route – the first leg will be run by the ladies.

 

General  Instructions

Arrive at New Barn Park by 10.00am. Registration to take place on the day inside the clubhouse. The entry fee will be £5.00 per league team, £7.50 for non-league teams. Team representatives will be issued with a team declaration sheet and a set of 5 numbers on receipt of their fee. Teams to be declared before 10.45 pm.

 

Guest Runners The competition is open to all constituent clubs of the Kent Fitness

League. Other clubs can take part, as can non qualified members, but

these teams will not qualify for prizes.

 

Marshals and Officials  We agreed at the start of the season that ALL CLUBS would provide at least one marshal/helper for this event.  Please nominate your marshal and get them to report to the clubhouse by 10.15 am latest to receive instructions and briefing.
