Sevenoaks AC Handicap 1 June 2025

John Denyer won the sixth race of the Sevenoaks AC 2025 handicap series in breezy conditions.

The 77-year-old led from start to finish and gradually pulled away from the field to win comfortably in the fastest scoring time of the day of 59:33.

In a small field, Simon Hallpike was second in 60:21 and Chris Desmond third in 62:44 with non-scoring Steve Hough running the overall fastest time of 43:31, an age-category performance placing him in the top eight all time over the hilly seven-mile course.

Jon Maxim continues to lead the series with just three races still to go. Maxim leads by two points from Chris Desmond with Tony Waldron another two points back in third.

The seventh race of the series is over the alternate five mile (8k) course, starting at the Sevenoaks School track at 08:30 on 20 July. Handicaps for participants in the last twelve months are here but newcomers are also very welcome to take part.
