Nine Sevenoaks AC junior athletes competed at the Kent Track and Field Championships at Ashford on 10 and 11 May, coming away with two bronze, a silver and one gold, writes head coach Darrell Smith.
On the Saturday, Brianna Kuranga threw 9.62m in the U17W shot to place 3rd and Liv Mtungwazi was winner of the U17W 200m, clocking 25.01.
On day two, Liv came back after winning the 200m to place 3rd in the U17W 100m. Then at the end of the day a superb throw by Imogen Mace of 32.32m in the last round of the U15G javelin secured 2nd — her first medal at county level.
