From the 1980s to 2025, a monthly handicap race was held from Sevenoaks School Track, over 5 or 7 miles in Knole Park. The final one was held on Sunday 7th September 2025. Handicaps were based on the runner's best time in the preceding 12 months whether over the 5 mile or 7 mile course. To see how times convert between the two courses, click this link. A database of handicap performances going back to May 1988 is here. It includes every result on the two established courses (Phillips 5 and Dillon 7). (NB. the fewer the selections made, the more data is retrieved.) (Various other courses were employed, for example when the track was being rebuilt and when the park was closed due to foot and mouth disease. The Dillon 7 was only introduced in 1995, before which a route on roads round the outside of the park, "Old 7", was used. And during lockdown from 1 April 2020 until 29th May 2021, the competition was virtual with any run of around 11k/7M (even months) or 8k/5M (odd months) counting. Live races resumed thereafter.)
