Four Sevenoaks AC runners tackled the Eridge 10 on 13th September, including Dan Witt, who reported: "As you'd expect from this race it was really muddy and wet challenge, a good warm up for the upcoming XC season. With the added bonus of a pint of Larkins 3.4% abv as a reward for all finishers!"
Dan was 29th in 01:20:55, followed by Clair Thornton 244th in 01:46:18, Jane Morgan 246th in 01:46:28, and Simon Lewis 295th in 01:54:15. The full results are here.

Five Sevenoaks runners took part in the Kent Coastal Marathon on 6th September. It was a lovely and sunny day but there was a strong head wind which made the course even more challenging.
Andy Ashlee was the first Sevenoaks runner home in 8th position overall followed by James Graham in 9th and Dan Witt 22nd. James won M60 for the race and Sevenoaks AC (Andy, James & Dan) the overall team prize.
The race was also a Kent Championship race and Andy won the M40, James the M60 and SAC also won the Championship team prize.
Jim Fitzmaurice was 3rd M70 in the race, which was also the SCVAC championships, and there was a rare guest appearance by ultra-runner Rob Carr.

David Lee was second overall as fifteen SAC runners tackled the hilly Weald St Georges 10k on Sunday 6th September. The SAC turnout for the race was lower than usual due to holidays, injuries and other races, but there were still some strong performances with Lee Lintern also in the top ten and Jim Knight completing his first 10k since his second hip operation. Sophie Lamb was our first woman.
